Hello everyone and welcome to our official first ever non test post! Today we have some extremely exciting news for LonePortal! LonePortal's goal is to be an all in one intranet inspired entirely on Y2K and one of the absolute most important things for the Y2K internet era was community interaction! We've worked hard to give power back to the community with completely customizable profiles for our social media, the ability to increase or decrease the size, font, etc. of the entire site, but this update is a HUGE one and introduces EVEN MORE to the community!

Firstly, we now have LP$! I'm sure you all have seen this from time to time around LP and I have personally hinted at this several times. Well, it's now fully live! You can get LP$ for nearly everything you do. From posting on the forums, giving or getting reactions on the forums, making community websites, playing games, posting on the social media, getting reactions or giving reactions on the social media, and nearly everything you can do on LP gives LP$ in some way shape or form.

Now with LP$ you might be asking yourself, what does this do, and is this a way for the owner to make money? LP$ is completely free, and as mentioned above you can get it by doing almost anything on the site 100% for free. LonePortal is a passion project and we won't be adding microtransactions to any of this stuff. As for what does it do, you will have several things you can spend LP$ on, and those are all below!

Shop: We now have a shop added to LP. This is one of several areas you can spend your LP$ on. You can get a custom username color for the forums & social media, you can get backgrounds for your profile such as glowing usernames, animated backgrounds such as fireworks, and more! You can customize the theme of nearly every page on LonePortal, if you want it to look like the Matrix you can buy the Matrix theme and add it to the entire site, or individual pages, there's a ton of themes to choose from as well! You can customize your Mouse Cursor, add trailing effects like on CoolMathGames back in the day and more! The shop is your shop to customize the entirety of LonePortal!

Avatars: Avatars are a new feature that is coming out to LonePortal right now as well! Avatars are a way to showcase who you are, and will play a HUGE role in every LonePortal exclusive we come out with! From the new Game Show we just made (More about that below), to our next large update which will be adding Monster Taming, egg collecting & hatching, as well as Monster Battles to the game! You can customize your avatar with LP$ by buying new clothing, hair, eyes, shoes, and more!

Final Connection: FC is LPs first ever game we made! This game is a weekly Game Show in which YOU are the contestant competing with the ENTIRETY of LonePortal! Tune in every Monday at 8 PM EST and do not worry, the countdown timer is in local time and says your local time on the Final Connection section of the site so you do not have to worry about that! Every Monday at the correct time the Game Show will start, and everyone who's loaded in on a new tab will be able to play the game and compete with everyone else! This is trivia for everything Retro, every Monday a new topic will be chosen and random questions will be asked for that. If you get it right, you keep on going until the last person is standing to be declared as the winner! You will see everyone and their avatars who are participating, and whenever someone gets out, their avatar goes away. Watch as the community slowly dwindles down as the questions get harder and harder to determine a winner! We also have a Hall of Fame so every winner will go down in history forever as bragging rights! The game also gives out LP$ to the winner! LP$ 25 + 1 per player in the game, so the more players, the higher the prize pool becomes! Our first official game will be this Monday at 8PM EST and every Monday at the same time after that so make sure to tune in!
